Finding articles is usually a two step process:
1. Use a database to identify an article.
Choose a broad subject area that includes your topic by clicking on Subject Guides http://beta.library.villanova.edu/Find/Metalib/Home
Select one of the databases under the selected Subject Guide.
Do a search on your topic.
From the search result, click on the Find It button to see if the article you want is available full text online.
2. Not all journal and magazine articles are available online. If you do not see a link to full text when you click on the Find It button, click on the link for library catalog to see if the library owns the journal, magazine or newspaper.
If information displayed for the journal title, magazine or newspaper titles appear, note the call number and location of the journal, magazine or newspaper. Double check to see if Falvey owns the year in your article citation.
If the year you need is listed as a RECENT ISSUE, go to current periodical shelves to look for your issue by call number.
If the year you need is listed as an OLDER ISSUE, go to the Circulation desk, and ask for a request slip to fill out for your volume. The staff will then retrieve the issue for you.
If, when you click on the library catalog link, you see the message "Your search resulted in no hits!" then the library does not own the journal, magazine or newspaper that you need. You may request a copy of the article from another library through Interlibrary Loan (ILL).
Requests to the ILL department are made at http://villanova.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/logon.html
If you need help in determining whether or not the library owns the issue you need and where it is located, ask for assistance from the Research Support Department http://beta.library.villanova.edu/About/Departments/AcademicIntegration/ResearchSupport
