Collection

The Research Support Team maintains a 10,000 volume print reference collection of general and subject specific sources as well as over 350 online reference sources. In addition it provides access to more than 250 indexing, abstracting and full-text databases available on the Web. The team provides assistance in using these print and online sources in several ways as described below.

Services

Reference / Research Assistance

Reference librarians answer questions at the desk, on the telephone (610-519-4270) or via email (ref@villanova.edu). They will help you locate information for class and personal use, recommend resources, assist with the formulation of research strategies and instruct in the use of print and electronic resources.

Research Appointment

Villanova students, faculty, or staff may schedule an appointment with a reference librarian for assistance with research projects. Please fill out and submit the online form.

Hours

Research librarians are on call and available during most hours when the library is open and during the fall and spring semesters, a research librarian is at the research desk at the front of the first floor during these hours:

Spring & Fall Semester Desk Hours

Monday - Wednesday
Noon - 8:00 p.m.
Thursday
Noon - 6:00 p.m.
Friday Noon - 5:00 p.m.
Sunday 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
